Simulation techniques for the design of parallel kinematic machine tools
Author(s): Caili Geng
Abstract: The design and optimization of parallel kinematic machine tools (PKMs) require advanced simulation techniques to assess their performance, accuracy, and dynamic behavior. This paper explores various simulation methodologies utilized in the design process of PKMs, including kinematic modeling, finite element analysis (FEA), and multi-body dynamics simulation. Through case studies and comparative analyses, the effectiveness and limitations of these simulation techniques are evaluated, providing insights for engineers and researchers to enhance the design and development of PKMs.
